Isai Mottugal | Drumalayam

Drum Gopal, in his musical journey thought to spread the wings of children further by forming a Children Orchestra named “Isai Mottugal”.

A band with 12 vocalists and 10 instrumentalists, the ISAI MOTTUGAL, the first children Orchestra in India, well trained and professional, has done more than 1000 stage performances throughout India and Srilanka. Isai Mottugal has the fame singing and playing with all eminent playback singers and instrument players.

The orchestra was crowned by SUN TV invited a performance at the 450th week of “SAPTHASWARANGAL” program.

HIGHLIGHTS

ISAI MOTTUGAL took their form and shape in May 2004 in the presence of Dr.J. Jayalalitha at the family wedding of T.Pichandi, I.A.S. Officer.
Mr.Sivamani extended an invitation to DRUMALAYAM students to perform at POGO TV’s AMAZING KIDS AWARD FUNCTION held at Mumbai on 18.12.2004.
The students of DRUMALAYAM played for A.R.Rahman children show at Bombay at 2005. In 2008 Drumalayam students performed in A.R.Rahman’s shows conducted in Chennai
ISAI MOTTUGAL performed in SRILANKA on behalf of The Lions Club towards "The World Childrens' Day" on 1st October, 2006 along with Playback singer Ranjith and Prasana.
The journey of ISAI MOTTUGAL continued to Delhi, with another bang performance for the DELHI TAMIL SANGAM.
ISAI MOTTUGAL also got an opportunity to perform in front of Governor Mr. Sardar Surjit Singh Barnala on 22nd March 2007 at Raj Bhavan.
ISAI MOTTUGAL & DRUMALAYAM students were invited to perform in various TV channel for festival shows.

ISAI MOTTUGAL BUDS GROWN FAMOUS THROUGH TV CHANNELS

P.L.Krishnamoorthy, who won the title Airtel super singer Junior 1
Nityashree, Finalists in Super Singer Junior 2 and Indian Idol Singer 2.
Srisha, Finalist in Super Singer Junior 3 and Sun TV Sangeedha Maha Yudham.
Oviya, won the Jaya TV’s little masters title.
Yazhini, Santhosh Balaji, Arjun are all top 10 singers from Super Singer Junior shows.
Swetha Suresh, known as WHISTLING QUEEN first Indian woman to win two first prizes in the World Whistling Convention 2016 in Japan.
Apart from reality show children were also offered to sing songs in various films. To name a few
- Parthasarathy sang ‘Choo choo mari’ for the film POO.
- Nithyashree Sang ‘Oru Malayoram’ for the film Avan Ivan, ‘Kodi Aruvi’ from Mehandi Circus.
- Swetha Suresh whistled many hit songs in D.Imman’s music compositions like ‘Verasa Pogayile’ from Jilla, ‘Kurumba Kurumba’ from Tik Tik Tik, Bogan, Viswasam, Teddy title music and so on.
